• What is Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction?

Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) is a stress reduction technique that uses the mind's ability to be aware. It is beneficial for anyone who wants to cope with stress in a healthy manner.

This technique is used at the University of Massachusetts Medical Center's Center for Mindfulness. Over ten years of medical research is proving that this format of regular meditation practice is a powerful form of complimentary medicine. In addition to helping average people cope with daily stress, this Stress Reduction Training is also helping medical patients cope with the stress that comes from physical symptoms and illnesses. People with fibromyalgia and MS have benefited from this training.
Dr. Jon Kabat-Zinn introduced the format for this 8 week intensive in his book, "Full Catastrophe Living."

This program is designed to be accessible to all people. No prior experience is necessary. All levels of flexibilty are welcome to participate.
